It has been about 2 months since Keira was discharged from the Hospital, and she is doing well.  If we see the inside of another pediatricians office it will be to soon.  She does not have anything poking out of her, no pic lines, no wound vac, everything has been removed, and she is back to being a normal 2 year old.  At this point her wound is now closed.  At this point, I think that most of the bills have been received so far.

In a previous post I indicated that we would be returning to Childrens Nationwide Hospital so that her wound Vac can be changed.  Keira's initial surgical site appeared to get infected, so on the second surgery, they did not close the wound, rather they placed a wound vac on it.  The wound vac "process" involves placing a sponge in the wound, and an additional sponge on top of the wound.

Its been a long couple of days.  My daughter Keira has been in the Hospital and was very sick.  It all started on the Tuesday the 8th, when day care called and let us know that Keira had been doubling over in pain.  We picked her up from day care and went to see the pediatrician.  There were a few things that were talked about that could be causing the pain, but we decided to wait it out and see how the night went.  The night did not go well, and we ended up in the Emergency department of Nationwide Childrens Hospital.  After a lengthy wait (5 hours) in the wai

Yesterday I recieved not 1, but 2 different contacts via my "Contact Me" page.  This is pretty unusual, I normally recieve about 1 a month, so to have 2 in one day was a little odd.  On top of that, it was both of the "grandmothers" (My mother and my Mother-in-law) contacting me about the same thing.... getting pictures of Keira up on the site.  Here is what they had to say:

Yesterday my wife gave birth to our first child Keira.  Mom and daughter are doing great.  I debated about if I should post anything about it here.... but decided to go ahead and do it.  so....She is here...!!
