I know that I am behind on my posting, but I am trying to keep up.  It's actually a lot hard than you might think.  This post will be a little "light" but oh well.  There have been a couple of interesting things that are going on with the family tree, so I figure that I would fill you in.

The first item of note is that the software that runs my database (PHPGEDVIEW) has undergone an upgrade.  I was running version 4.1.6 and I am now running 4.2.  Big deal right, well it does appear that the new version has made some improvements with regard to speed.  The new version does seem a little quicker, and I am thankful for the upgrade. 

The second item of note is that the family tree is now over 2000.  At the start of the year, the database had about 1780 people in it, and now we are over 2000 and almost to 2100!  Better yet, all of the new people that have been added have been added with sources!  Adding new people with sources takes more time than just adding the people in without sources, but the sources turn out to be helpful in the future.  When I first started the family tree database,  I just added people without recording where I got the info from, and now I have people in the tree that I have no idea where they came from....they are just there.....  So all of the new people this year have been added with at least 1 source, often more.
