10 years ago, many websites were just using static html pages, with a single file for each page.  These days, many people are moving to a CMS (Content Management System) platform.  I have talked about CMS platforms before, and this site used to run on one called Xoops.  Now it runs on Drupal.  The first site that I actually built using Drupal was a high school reunion site (www.lnhsalumni.com).  It worked pretty well, and better yet, I was able to put it together pretty fast.  Since then I have moved itowler.com to drupal, and created / helped create several more websites with drupal.  By my count, I have now used drupal in at least 5 different sites:

• www.itowler.com (My Personal Site)
• www.lnhsalumni.com (The High school reunion site [will be shut down in august 2009])
• www.marylandsar.org (The Maryland Society, Sons of the American Revolution Site)
• www.wvssar.org (West Virginia's SAR site)
• The New National SAR site will be running drupal once I get it finished..

Even though I have been using drupal for a few years now, I am just now really strarting to discover the Power that the platform has to offer.  You can do just about anything with drupal and its modules.  In particular, the CCK and Views modules can offer quite a bit of flexibility and power to the system.

One of the other things that I like about drupal, is that it can look like anything.... i.e. not all Drupal site look alike.  In fact they can quite different...  You can determine if a site is running drupal by using the following tool:
